Platform Access
How to request access, log in, and manage your Optra account.
Request access
Users must be set up and assigned a role before they can access the platform. If you are a new user, request access through your organization's administrator or onboarding process. In some deployments, your administrator will provide the platform URL directly rather than asking you to discover it yourself.
How to Request Platform Access
To request access, follow the steps below.
- Contact your System Administrator or organization administrator.
- Confirm the platform URL you should use for your environment.
- Verify that your user account has been created and assigned the appropriate role.
- Ask whether your organization uses local credentials, Azure AD, or another single sign-on method.
- Navigate to Optra platform.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Complete any multi-factor authentication steps if prompted.
User roles
Optra uses role-based access control. Common roles include:
- Admin — full access to organization settings, users, and all resources.
- Developer — can create and manage integrations, DTDLs, and API keys.
- Operator — read access to devices and telemetry; can manage alerts.
Your administrator assigns roles when they invite you to the organization. Contact them if you need elevated permissions.
Switch organizations
If you belong to multiple organizations, use the organization switcher in the top-left corner of the platform to move between them.
