Enroll Devices End to End

Enrollment is the gateway for all downstream fleet workflows. Correct choices during enrollment, especially template and identity details, directly affect chart visibility, automation behavior, and support troubleshooting.

What to Click and Do Next

1. Open Operations > Devices.
2. Click Enroll.
3. In Enroll Device, choose one enrollment type:
   • Individual Enrollment using Symmetric Key
   • Individual Enrollment using X.509 Certificates
   • Group Enrollment with Symmetric Key
   • Group Enrollment with X.509 Certificates
4. Click Next.
5. Select device type card (IoT Device, Optra Edge Device, or Gateway).
6. For IoT Device/Gateway, choose Device Template (or Unassigned when required).
7. For Optra Edge Device, enter serial number.
8. Click Next.
9. Enter Name, set simulation option, and place location pin on map.
10. Verify latitude/longitude and click Save.
11. For X.509 flows, paste valid PEM certificate before final save.

Validation Checklist

1. Device appears in table.
2. Device Details opens successfully.
3. Template/location values are correct.

Common Issues

• Save blocked by missing required fields.
• Certificate step fails because PEM formatting is invalid.
